#GobiernoDeMéxico, #México.– From Mesa del Nayar, in Nayarit, President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo emphasized that the Fourth Transformation recognizes indigenous and Afro-Mexican peoples as the origin of Mexico, for this reason, she led the direct delivery of 97 million pesos (mdp) from the Fund of Contributions for Social Infrastructure for Indigenous and Afro-Mexican Peoples and Communities (FAISPIAM) for the benefit of 57 native communities of that entity.

«It is only now with the Fourth Transformation that the origin of Mexico is recognized, once and for all: the indigenous peoples and Afromexican peoples. Without this recognition, Mexico cannot move forward, because it is the origin, it is the basis, it is the history, it is our culture, of all and of all, those who are still part of the original peoples and those who are not,» he said after leading the assembly where the Na’ayeri, Wixárika, O’dam and Mexikan peoples were given cards from the Welfare Bank with resources from the FAISPIAM.

He recalled that this fund, which was endowed with more than 12 billion pesos, makes the constitutional reform to Article 2 a reality, which recognizes native peoples as subjects of rights, with access to their own public resources and with autonomy to decide the works in which they will invest the resources for the benefit of their communities.
