#AtizapánDeZaragoza, #EstadoDeMéxico.- In an act that demonstrates with facts the commitment of the administration with the security of Atizapán families, the Municipal President, Pedro Rodríguez Villegas, led the delivery of armament and tactical equipment of last generation to the Directorate of Public Safety and Municipal Transit.
Accompanied by his wife, the Honorary President of DIF, Patricia Arévalo Rubio, as well as by the Board of Aldermen and the Secretary of the City Council, the Mayor reaffirmed that no resources will be spared to ensure that the municipal police force is the best equipped and continues to consolidate Atizapán as the safest municipality in the State of Mexico.
In order to strengthen the response capacity and protect those who protect us, first level weaponry was delivered, including:
50 Sig Sauer P320 pistols, 9mm caliber: highly reliable handguns for the officers’ daily work.
54 Sig Sauer M400 Rifles, 5.56 caliber: Long arms, described by experts as “the crown jewel in urban combat”, to face any high-impact threat.

205 Vests and 410 Ballistic Plates: Vests with protection level IIIA and Level IV ballistic plates, capable of resisting impacts from long-barrelled weapons, were delivered. This allows the elements to adapt their protection according to the risk level of the operation, guaranteeing their physical integrity.
“You have earned the recognition not only of the citizens of Atizapán, but also of the State and Federal Governments,” said President Pedro Rodríguez Villegas to the officers. «We have shown that it is possible when the will exists. Feel proud to wear that uniform, we will feel proud of you».
During his speech, the Commissioner of Public Safety, Dr. Fabián Ricardo Gómez Calcáneo, explained the strategic importance of the equipment, emphasizing that not only weapons are delivered, but “dignity and confidence.”
“Today, the Atizapán police officer has his own vest, which is a matter of hygiene, dignity and pride,” said the Commissioner, explaining that this action prevents officers from having to share sweaty or worn equipment.
