Cuautitlán Izcalli launches Operation Violet for the safety and protection of girls and women / @daniel_ser @GobIzcalli >>>

#CuautitlánIzcalli, #EstadoDeMéxico.- The General Commissariat of Citizen Security, in coordination with
the Municipal Institute for Gender Equity and the Development of Women (IMGUALDAD), headed by Jeanette de Rosas Quintero, launched Operation Violet, to prevent and eradicate the commission of gender-based crimes. As part of this deployment, in which the State Police also participated, 45 public transportation units were inspected, benefiting more than 400 users.

The operation was concentrated in Lomas de Cuautitlán and Infonavit Norte, In addition, surveillance rounds were reinforced in neighboring neighborhoods, in order to safeguard the integrity of girls and women.

The municipal authorities carried out checks on users of public transportation, handed out informative brochures, gave brief talks on gender violence and provided with information on local support and accompaniment.

These activities will be carried out on an ongoing basis, as part of the actions aimed at consolidating a municipality free of violence against women and girls.
