These textbooks will be distributed to all public and private elementary schools nationwide, benefiting more than 24 million preschool, primary, and secondary school students.
This happened after leading, along with the Governor of the state of Michoacán, Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla, the delivery of 100,000 copies translated into Purépecha to the indigenous community of Cheranástico, at the Niño Artillero indigenous elementary school, located in the municipality of Paracho, Michoacán.
In the presence of the school community, the head of the SEP assured that all students, from preschool to high school, will have LTGs starting September 1, the start date of the 2025–2026 school year.
Delgado Carrillo highlighted the contents of the Community Project Books, which propose various activities such as traditional games and knowledge that keep alive the cultural memory of pre-Hispanic Mexico.
«For example, there’s a project coming up called Law, Food, and Nutrition, which consists of creating an infographic on healthy foods available in this community,» he added.
