#AlcaldíaMiguelHidalgo, #México.- Mauricio Tabe, mayor of Miguel Hidalgo, signed a collaboration agreement with the Mexico City Hotel Association, the Monterrey Institute of Technology, the National Chamber of the Restaurant and Seasoned Food Industry (Canirac), and the Mexican Association of Travel Agencies (AMAV CDMX) to train and employ young people in this district ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Tabe said that the mayor’s office is preparing to welcome thousands of national and international visitors who will use the hotel and food services industry, and therefore, this partnership will provide the necessary training so young people can provide their services and best serve the tourists who visit them.
“Miguel Hidalgo is preparing to be the favorite destination for thousands of visitors who come to Mexico City and continue to demonstrate that we are the best of Mexico City. To achieve this, it’s not enough to carry out public works, improve medians, improve lighting, and expand the tourist offering, but also to prepare the people who will provide that service in restaurants and hotels,” he said.
During the signing of the agreement, Mauricio Tabe added that with this, Miguel Hidalgo is preparing for the World Cup and is doing so hand in hand with those who generate employment.
For his part, José Antonio Patiño, Chief of the Miguel Hidalgo Mayor’s Office, noted that the 2026 World Cup is an opportunity to demonstrate to visitors the best service, gastronomic and cultural offerings, as well as the museums, historical sites, and services that the best hotel zone in Mexico City has to offer.
