#TlalnepantlaDeBaz, #StateOfMexico.- The Sustainable Sidewalk Recovery program began in the La Romana neighborhood, where residents acknowledged that this action will allow them to walk more safely and give their community a new look.

Under the slogan «Re-Building your firm, safe, and inclusive path,» Mayor Raciel Pérez Cruz kicked off these projects, making Tlalnepantla the first municipality in the state to reuse damaged sidewalk material to build new ones for the benefit of pedestrians.

Accompanied by Jaime Heredia Ángeles, Director of Liaison with States and Municipalities of the National Institute for Federalism and Development (#INAFRED), the Mayor highlighted the need to address sidewalks affected by tree roots or fractured ones, which pose a risk factor.

He mentioned that this program will reach more communities that urgently need curb rehabilitation so pedestrians can walk freely on public roads.

Another benefiting community will be Tlalnepantla Centro, where a spatial reorganization will also be carried out, given that the previous administration granted various authorizations for businesses or activities that affect the environment. Society.

“In 2022-2024, there was a setback in Our City. Businesses called “workshops” were established semi-clandestinely, creating problems for citizens and unsanitary conditions. We are determined to address these problems through dialogue,” he noted.

Pérez Cruz assured that a stop will be put to pseudo-leaders operating in Tlalnepantla Centro and in the vicinity of the Filiberto Gómez market, as they sometimes sell public space in exchange for large sums of money, under a scheme similar to extortion and extortion.
