#SecretaríaDeEducaciónPública, #México.- The Secretary of Public Education, Mario Delgado Carrillo, announced that online registration will open nationwide starting September 15 for new high school students to access the Rita Cetina Universal Scholarship. He specified that starting that date, mothers, fathers, and guardians must register their daughters and sons to secure this benefit.

During the distribution of uniform and school supply cards to 26,000 public high school students in the nation’s capital, held at the Magdalena Mixiuhca Sports City and led by Mexico City Mayor Clara Brugada Molina, the head of the SEP explained that this scholarship, promoted by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, seeks to ensure that no child or adolescent drops out of school due to lack of resources.

“The Rita Cetina Universal Scholarship represents our government’s commitment to public education and the well-being of Mexican families,” Delgado Carrillo emphasized.

She highlighted the efforts of state and municipal governments, which, in coordination with the Federation, are strengthening family finances and ensuring continued education.

Finally, she emphasized that education is a right, not a privilege, as the head of the federal government has established. «We will continue working to ensure that students have the same opportunities and achieve their academic goals, regardless of their economic status. In her speech, Mayor Clara Brugada Molina stated: «Today we are happy because we are starting the distribution of cards that support the purchase of school supplies and uniforms to all elementary school students, and in this case, we are also beginning a distribution process exclusively for secondary school students.»
