#SecretaríaDeCultura, #México.- With the goal of providing physical and mental health care to children and youth from the Creative Seedbeds for Indigenous Children, the Ministry of Culture of the Government of Mexico, through the General Directorate of Cultural Outreach (#DGVC) and the National System for the Promotion of Music (#SNFM), together with the Mexican Social Security Institute (#IMSSBienestar) and the National Institute of Indigenous Peoples (#INPI), met to design a joint work strategy.

The teams from the convening institutions participated in the work session, including the General Director of Cultural Outreach, Diego Raúl Martínez García; the Coordinator of the National System for the Promotion of Music, Roberto Rentería Yrene; the Head of the Coordination of Preventive Programs at IMSS Bienestar, Nemer Alexander Naime Sánchez-Henkel; and the Director of Operations for Homes, Dining Halls, and Support at INPI, Juan Pedro Caballero Gutiérrez, representing the Director of the Indigenous Education Support Program, Víctor Martín Cérbulo Pérez.

The initiative aims to provide comprehensive care for Indigenous children and youth, promoting their development and the full exercise of their fundamental rights as an act of social justice for their community. To this end, initiatives will be promoted in 100 Indigenous Children’s Homes, which also include Creative Seedbeds, benefiting more than six thousand children and young people in the states of Chihuahua, Durango, the State of Mexico, Guanajuato, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Michoacán, Oaxaca, Puebla, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, and Veracruz.

This constitutes the starting point for Indigenous children and youth to receive comprehensive care, focusing on their physical and mental well-being, as well as strengthening their culture for community development.
