#SecretaríaDeEducaciónPública, #México.- The Secretary of Public Education, Mario Delgado Carrillo, welcomed the first cohort of the National Technological Institute of Mexico (TecNM) Virtual, comprised of 2,815 students beginning their higher education studies in Business Management Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Computer Systems Engineering, with the support of 18 technological institutes across the country and more than 1,000 teachers.

Delgado Carrillo explained that this is an innovative project that marks a turning point in the country’s technological education, offering access to excellent professional training without geographical boundaries.

Accompanied by the Undersecretaries of Upper Secondary Education, Tania Rodríguez Mora, and of Higher Education, Ricardo Villanueva Lomelí, the head of the SEP emphasized that the opening of the TecNM Virtual responds to President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo’s call to expand educational coverage and ensure that more young people have the opportunity to access higher education. He affirmed that this effort is a clear demonstration that education is a right exercised with equity, inclusion, and social justice.

In the presence of directors from the National Institute of Technology of Mexico (TecNM) in Mexico, the head of the Ministry of Education (SEP) stated that, with this new educational model, the TecNM is opening a new era that combines technological innovation with humanism. He explained that students will have flexible career paths, digital inclusion, national and international virtual mobility, and training programs aligned with social needs, Industry 5.0, and Plan Mexico.
