Safety and Welfare: Luis Mendoza presents 2026 Economic Package focused on consolidating Blindar BJ360° and creating social infrastructure / @LuisMendozaBJ @BJAlcaldia

#BenitoJuárezAlcaldía#México.- The Mayor of Benito Juárez, Luis Mendoza, presented the Economic Package for the 2026 fiscal year before the Congress of Mexico City, with the primary objective of strengthening the Blindar BJ360° security strategy and carrying out social infrastructure projects that directly benefit families in the borough. The budgetary priority given to security responds to the positive results already achieved, as, one year after its implementation, Blindar BJ360° has positioned Benito Juárez as the safest borough not only in the capital, but also in the Metropolitan Area of the Valley of Mexico and the Megalopolis.

The success of the security strategy is based on the efficient use of public resources, which has led to a reduction in crime rates, as confirmed by the most recent National Urban Public Security Survey (ENSU) conducted by INEGI. Mendoza recalled that a significant investment in security was made in 2025, enabling the acquisition of 40 latest-generation super-hybrid patrol cars, which is why the borough now ranks first in citizens’ perception of safety.

Ensuring the allocation of resources to maintain and enhance security conditions goes hand in hand with promoting welfare and improving social infrastructure. As part of his priorities for 2026, the Mayor requested support from the deputies for a budget increase to enable the construction of a crematorium for companion animals, which would be operated by the Veterinary Care Centre for Companion Animals (CAVAC).

«This is for the benefit of the citizens; this part of working with all levels of government helps us to be more efficient,» stated Luis Mendoza.
