This comprehensive endeavor, which integrated highway, railway, and airport modernization, has fundamentally redefined the country’s logistical landscape while revitalizing public spaces and educational facilities. Through strategic investment and meticulous planning, the administration has ensured that “infrastructure serves as the backbone of social equity,” fostering a more connected and prosperous territory. These structural triumphs represent a significant leap forward in national connectivity, ensuring that remote regions are no longer isolated from economic centers.
Significant progress was realized through the “General Lázaro Cárdenas del Río” program, which saw the intervention of 820 kilometers of roads to enhance rural and urban mobility. Key completions included the vital San Ignacio-Tayoltita and Real del Monte-Huasca highways, alongside the strategic Jala-Puerto Vallarta corridor. Furthermore, the maritime and defense sectors provided instrumental support in rehabilitating the Toluca-Tejupilco and Guaymas-Esperanza routes, showcasing a collaborative model of governance.
The advancement of monumental engineering projects, such as the Nichupté Bridge in Cancún and the Rizo de Oro in Chiapas, underscores a commitment to architectural excellence. Within the Priority Axes, 193 kilometers were meticulously addressed, featuring essential works on the Tamazunchale-Huejutla and Salina Cruz-Zihuatanejo highways. Additionally, the innovative distribution of specialized repaving machinery has empowered sixteen states to manage local road rehabilitation independently and efficiently.
Looking ahead, the ongoing construction of eleven bridges and interchanges, including the Arco Norte in Colima, promises to further streamline the nation’s transit.
