#GreenAtizapán2026 #EcoFriendlyCleanup —– #AtizapánDeZaragoza#EstadoDeMéxico.- The administration of Atizapán de Zaragoza, under the leadership of Mayor Pedro Rodríguez, has formally inaugurated a sustainable initiative to collect and manage discarded holiday conifers. This program seeks to maintain the cleanliness of public thoroughfares while ensuring that seasonal waste is diverted toward beneficial ecological purposes. By transforming these trees into nutrient-rich compost, the government fosters a virtuous cycle of renewal that directly nourishes the local soil. This strategic endeavor underscores a communal commitment to environmental preservation, ensuring that the festive symbols of the past month serve a «second life» within the natural landscape.

To streamline this logistical operation, the Municipal Coordination of Civil Protection, Firefighters, and the Environment has established four strategic collection points. These centers will be operational from Monday to Sunday, between the hours of 9:00 and 18:00, beginning this Wednesday, January 7, and continuing through February 1. Residents are encouraged to participate in this collective effort to enhance waste management efficiency across the municipality during the post-holiday season.

Specific drop-off locations include the Central Fire Station in Lomas de Atizapán and the North Zone Substation located in Tepalcapa. Additionally, services are available at the South Zone Substation in Calacoaya and the Environmental Sub-Directorate offices on Adolfo López Mateos Avenue in México Nuevo. These accessible venues ensure that families from all sectors of the city can easily contribute to the recycling process without unnecessary travel.

Through these actions, the government of Pedro Rodríguez reaffirms its dedication to a greener future by returning these organic materials to the earth. Proper disposal prevents the accumulation of debris in the streets and supports the regeneration of local ecosystems.
