With gravitas and resolve, the initiative seeks to improve the quality of life for thousands of families, while reaffirming the administration’s commitment to dignity and justice. This announcement, delivered during a tour of the northern region, underscores the government’s determination to transform communities through tangible and lasting works.

In Apaxtla de Castrejón, the governor gave the official start to the modernization of the municipal access road, a project valued at 15 million pesos that will directly benefit more than 11,000 residents. The plan includes two lanes of circulation, central gardens, sidewalks, curbs, and public lighting, ensuring safer and more dignified entry into the municipality. With tenacity and rectitude, the Secretary of Urban Development, Irene Jiménez Montiel, reported that seven actions have already been completed in Apaxtla, with an accumulated investment of 28 million pesos during the current administration.

Later, in Cuetzala del Progreso, Evelyn Salgado highlighted that over the past four years, more than 46 million pesos have been allocated to works that directly impact local infrastructure and well-being. Through CAPASEG, more than 7 million pesos were invested in the potable water system of Tianquizolco, benefiting nearly 1,000 inhabitants with new household connections and seven kilometers of distribution network. With scrupulous and methodical planning, additional investments have been directed to education, connectivity, and housing, consolidating a vision of comprehensive development for the region.

Closing her tour, the governor emphasized that “resources belong to the people and must return to the people in works that serve them every day.” With cohesion and fortitude, she reaffirmed her request to President Claudia Sheinbaum for federal support in rehabilitating the historic Iguala–Ciudad Altamirano highway. This demand, long awaited by the northern and Tierra Caliente regions, reflects the administration’s determination to redouble efforts in 2026, ensuring that progress and prosperity reach every corner of Guerrero.
