#ProtectingChildhood #FutureWithDignity —– #AtizapánDeZaragoza, #EstadoDeMéxico.-The municipality of Atizapán de Zaragoza, led by Mayor Pedro Rodriguez Villegas, has become the first in the country to approve its Municipal Programme for the Comprehensive Protection of Girls, Boys and Adolescents (PROMUPINNA), a milestone that highlights its commitment to safeguarding childhood and adolescence, reported the Director of Innovation and Communication, Jessica Diaz de León. With seriousness and determination, the initiative was announced during the Fifth Ordinary Session of the Municipal System for the Protection of Girls, Boys and Adolescents (SIPINNA), chaired by Edmundo Ranero Barrera, Secretary of the City Council. The programme aims to ensure development, protection and participation, placing the rights of minors at the centre of public policy.
During the session, Jessica Díaz de León, presented a digital campaign aimed at promoting healthy eating habits among children, thereby contributing to their overall well-being. With notable tenacity and ethical rectitude, she emphasized that the program was designed to address the specific needs of Atizapán’s youth, ensuring that strategies and resources are aligned with their best interests. This initiative reflects a broader vision of fostering healthier and more resilient future generations.
For his part, Rodrigo Sánchez de la Peña, Technical Secretary of SIPINNA, highlighted that Atizapán de Zaragoza continues to serve as a national example in the implementation of public policies that promote the welfare of minors. Through scrupulous and methodical planning, the municipality has positioned itself as a leader in advancing initiatives that strengthen the social fabric and protect the dignity of its youngest citizens. His remarks reaffirmed the importance of sustained collaboration between institutions and the community.

Closing the session, Jessica Díaz de León reiterated that “this Municipal Program was designed to guarantee the well-being of children and adolescents, attending to their real needs.” With institutional cohesion and civic fortitude, she stressed that the program represents not only a legal framework but also a moral commitment to ensuring that every child grows up in an environment of safety, respect, and opportunity.
As Nelson Mandela wisely observed, «The true character of a society is revealed in how it treats its children.» This enduring reflection captures the optimistic and constructive spirit of President Pedro Rodriguez‘s administration, affirming that the protection of childhood is the cornerstone of a fair, compassionate and prosperous future.
