The announcement followed the weekend tour led by President Claudia Sheinbaum in Guerrero and Michoacán, where the administration highlighted its determination to place dignity and rights at the center of public policy.

From the municipality of Lázaro Cárdenas, Montiel Reyes emphasized that “the Programs of Welfare embody this conviction, reaching families directly and returning public resources to the hands of the people.” With tenacity and rectitude, she detailed that in Michoacán alone, more than 1,326,000 beneficiaries will receive pensions and support, with an investment surpassing 40 billion pesos in 2026. These figures reflect the scale of the initiative and its transformative impact on communities across the state.

At the national level, new programs are being implemented to broaden the scope of social protection. The Pensión Mujeres Bienestar recognizes a lifetime of work by women, while Salud Casa por Casa ensures medical attention as a fundamental right. In addition, the “Rita Cetina” scholarship has become universal for secondary students, guaranteeing that no young person abandons education due to lack of resources. With scrupulous and methodical planning, these measures strengthen the social fabric and expand opportunities for millions of families.

For the first time in Mexico’s history, the government will allocate one trillion pesos to the Welfare Programs, fulfilling the commitment of President Claudia Sheinbaum to support the people.
