The investment aims to improve water quality and to increase the resilience of the system in the face of rising demand, affirmed #DanielSerranoPalacios. From Monday 13 July, operations will begin on various stretches of Av. Chalma, entailing temporary lane reductions and the implementation of a contraflow system to maintain two‑way movement. Municipal authorities have arranged signage and traffic supervision to preserve safety and the flow of vehicles during the works. Public cooperation is being urged to shorten the duration of the intervention and to facilitate progress.

Official communiqués state that the intervention includes the rehabilitation of intake structures and the installation of treatment plants to reduce groundwater extraction and to guarantee the sustainability of the supply; the scope of the project will benefit thousands of families in Cuautitlán Izcalli.
