(#BreakingViral – #CivilProtectionMX) *** #CuautitlánIzcalli, #StateOfMexico.- The tragedy that has cast a shadow over #SanFranciscoTepojaco, a community in Cuautitlán #Izcalli, remains under close scrutiny by municipal authorities following the #ExplosionOfPyrotechnic material being transported in a private vehicle during an activity linked to the town’s patron saint festivities. The incident, which occurred on Aldama Street, left several people injured and prompted a large-scale response from emergency, security, and rescue personnel. «The emergency» has deeply shaken the local community.
As part of the follow-up measures, the Cuautitlán Izcalli General Commissariat of Citizen Security conducted a hospital check to determine the health status of the individuals involved. The patients treated include Rosalba Pánfilo Emiliano, Verónica Pánfilo Emiliano, and Aurora Barrales, as well as:

V. M. B., aged 9.
A. G. H. A., aged 14.
B. E., aged 11.
(They remain under specialized medical observation due to injuries sustained during the incident.)
Simultaneously, the Municipal Coordination of Civil Protection and Firefighters continues to provide ongoing assistance and support to the affected families while collaborating with the corresponding investigations. Preliminary findings indicate that the pyrotechnic products had been purchased in Tultepec and were being transported to San Francisco Tepojaco, where an alleged electrical failure may have triggered the accidental ignition of the explosive materials.
The death of a 16-year-old adolescent has generated profound sorrow among relatives, residents, and participants in the religious celebrations of San Francisco Tepojaco. At the same time, recent incidents involving the handling and transportation of pyrotechnic products in various municipalities across the State of Mexico have intensified calls for stricter preventive measures, enhanced oversight, and rigorous compliance with safety protocols aimed at reducing risks during large public gatherings.
Finally, the Government of Cuautitlán Izcalli emphasized that the permits under review were intended exclusively for activities scheduled on later dates and did not cover the event that took place on the day of the explosion. Authorities also reiterated the importance of securing timely authorizations and adhering to established safety recommendations in order to protect public well-being during community celebrations.
NOTE: The authorization process submitted by the delegation—which has not yet been concluded—covers the musical events and the use of pyrotechnics scheduled for October 2–5; it does not include the processions or the activity that took place on the Thursday of the incident.
