Mezcal producers in the State of Mexico continue with their certification process

#EstadoDeMéxico.- In order for mezcal producers in Mexico to advance in the efficiency of their processes and practices, both in terms of production and marketing of their product, the Secretaría del Campo (SeCampo) signed an agreement with the company Verificación y Certificación PAMFA, AC.

Mezcal has positioned itself as a representative product of Mexico nationally and internationally due to its artisanal character and variety of presentations, becoming a highly demanded beverage in local and foreign markets.

The production of this agave distillate is an important trigger for economic development, especially in the southern region of the State of Mexico.

This agreement establishes the bases and mechanisms of participation for the performance of evaluation and certification services, in accordance with the corresponding Mexican Official Standard, for 40 Mexican producers of this beverage known as the «elixir of the Gods.
