The «Juan de la Barrera Olympic Gymnasium» in Benito Juarez, will be the official venue of the WPT Mexico Open 2022

#BenitoJuárez, #CDMX.- World Padel Tour Mexico Open presents its official dates which are assigned in the calendar from November 22 to 27, 2022, days in which the best padel players of this Mexican sport will meet.

At a press conference, Diego de la Torre and Antonio Guzmán, organizers of the event, announced that the 2022 Open will be held at one of the most emblematic venues for the sport in Mexico, the Juan de la Barrera Olympic Gymnasium.

In the presence of the Mayor of Benito Juarez, Santiago Taboada, Gabriela Graciano, General Director of Social Development of the Benito Juarez Mayor’s Office, as well as the Notary Ignacio Soto Borja y Anda, Ambassador of the World Padel Tour Mexico, the directors of Fanatic and Omnifut, licensee companies for the event, pointed out that this year 112 padel players will compete for a pass to the Final Master in Barcelona.

The organization is preparing to run a first class tournament with the aim of continuing to grow every year and provide the fans with a first class sporting spectacle.

There will be 56 couples in total, 28 in the women’s and 28 in the men’s category, in addition to two wild cards, who will make up the line-up of this circuit for its first time in Mexico. It is worth mentioning that this will be the first time that both categories will be present in the final competition.
