Federal Executive presents progress on the Bosque de Chapultepec, Nature and Culture project

#MexicoCity. – The expansion, restructuring and creation of new spaces in the Chapultepec Forest are relevant not only for those who live in the country’s capital, but for all Mexicans, as it is a symbol that represents us, said President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

During the presentation of the progress of the Bosque de Chapultepec, Nature and Culture project, the President explained that these works are characterized by the rescue of the environment, especially the water from the springs; he also recalled that 80 hectares contributed by the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena), which were previously the Gunpowder Factory, have been incorporated into the project.

The Secretary of Culture, Alejandra Frausto Guerrero, recalled that culture as a right is one of the axes of transformation. In this sense, she affirmed that this project is of national relevance due to the impact generated in the 32 entities that participate in the calls, circuits and tours promoted by the project.

He stressed that the essence of the project is that the spaces in the Chapultepec Forest that were previously excluded will be public, so that the entire population can enjoy them, such as what is now the Los Pinos Cultural Complex or the former Military Camp No. 1.
