#ISSSTE.- In the first half of 2024, the Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado (Issste) will consolidate the digital transformation, concluding migrations and presenting new technological projects focused on the second and third levels of care, after the progress made in 2023 in the first level of care, for the benefit of the beneficiaries, informed the Deputy Director of Information Technology, Alejandra Fernández Vélez.

«This year we will continue the reengineering of the new Issste that we started with the administration of the general director, Pedro Zenteno Santaella: above all, with more field work, as he says: more territory, less desk, that is our major purpose. One of the special missions in which we will be involved is in the opening of the new hospitals, there we have a whole challenge to get them up and running.»

He pointed out that in 2023 Issste consolidated a technological renovation with the replacement of 47 thousand obsolete computer equipment, as well as the migration of the printing service that had already reached the useful life stage. «We will continue with the installation of telecommunications, VoIP and perimeter security equipment.»

In order to benefit the almost 14 million beneficiaries at the first level of care, the Health Care Administration and Management Environment System (Aamates) was implemented, which will be completed in June 2024 -it is 50 percent complete-; this is a platform that streamlines clinical processes to improve the quality of care and reduce the bureaucratic procedures that affect patients.
