#GobiernoDeMéxico.- The Tren Maya has traveled 202,658 kilometers in its five convoys in 70 days of operation, which is equivalent to 46 trips from Cancun, Quintana Roo to Tijuana, Baja California, highlighted Óscar David Lozano Águila, CEO of Tren Maya.
He announced increases in services as of March 1st due to the high level of efficiency and greater infrastructure. It will be divided as follows:
Six commercial services per day:
- Merida to Cancun: 7:00 a.m., 8:45 a.m. and 1:43 p.m.
- Cancun to Merida: 7:00 a.m., 5:00 p.m. and 7:11 p.m.
- Four daily commercial services
- From Campeche to Merida: 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
- Merida to Campeche: 9:19 and 18:52 hours
- Two commercial services per day
- From Palenque to Campeche: 7:00 hours
- From Campeche to Palenque: 12:00 hours
«With this we intend to improve mobility, quality and efficiency in travel times not only for people, but also in the optimization of the trains we have available today,» he said during the inauguration of the Cancun – Playa del Carmen section with President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.
At the Cancun Airport station of the Mayan Train, the general gave an account of the operational progress of this means of transportation along 22 stations from Palenque to Cancun. Today, two more were added: Puerto Morelos and Playa del Carmen.
