México celebrates the inclusion of avocado oil in the International Standard for Vegetable Oils / @SE_mx >>>

#SE.- At the Twenty-eighth Session of the Codex Committee on Fats and Oils (CCFO), held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Mexico described as an important achievement the inclusion of avocado oil in the International Standard for Vegetable Oils, since it established the parameters of identity that will guarantee the quality and safety of this product and prevent its adulteration.

Mexico is participating for the first time in the Codex Committee as chair of the Avocado Oil Working Group, with the collaboration of the entire national production chain. Mexico is the world’s number one avocado producer and exporter, accounting for almost half of all avocado exports.
The Government of Mexico, through the Ministry of Economy, reiterates its commitment to protect the commercial and economic interests of Mexican producers.
