Shemesh Quartet celebrated 75th anniversary with a cappella concert / @alefrausto @cultura_mx >>>

#Cultura.- As part of the celebrations for the 75th anniversary of the Polanco branch of the National Conservatory of Music (CNM) of the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature (Inbal), the Shemesh Quartet presented the commemorative program Música a cappella de compositores del siglo XX del CNM, in the Agustín Caballero Hall of the CNM.

Susana Ceniceros Becerra (contralto), Bruno Cisneros Fernández (tenor), Ittai Gur Mazor Ariza (bass), the three CNM graduates, and Ritta Regina Rosales Anaya (soprano), also a CNM graduate and student of the Master in Interpretation of Mexican Concert Music, of the Subdirección General de Educación e Investigación Artísticas (Sgeia), and musical director of this program, are the members of the Shemesh Quartet, who offered a show that combined song and poetry.

The concert included the works: Para mi corazón basta tu pecho, by Blas Galindo, with poetry by Pablo Neruda; Nanas, by Carlos Jiménez Mabarak, with poetry by Rafael Alberti, and Si mi voz muriera en tierra, by Carlos Jiménez Mabarak, with poetry by Rafael Alberti, among others.

The Shemesh Quartet vocal ensemble has a 10-year trajectory and has performed nationally and internationally. In fact, this recital is the preamble to a tour of Europe in which they will perform part of the program.

The next concert commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Polanco branch, which began activities on March 18, 1949, will be held on March 20 at 5:00 pm, at the Silvestre Revueltas Auditorium, with the participation of the CNM Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Eduardo Álvarez. The CNM is located at Avenida Presidente Masaryk 582, colonia Polanco, alcaldía Miguel Hidalgo.
