The Chilean delegation included the head of the Cooperation Division of the Chilean Agency for International Development Cooperation, Daniel Castillo; the representatives of the Multilateral Affairs Division, Denisse Estay and Pablo Bravo; as well as the representatives of the Feminist Foreign Policy area, Francisca Acevedo and Claudia Godoy.

The Mexican delegation was represented by members of the diplomatic corps of the Embassy of Mexico in Chile, headed by Ambassador Laura Moreno Rodríguez; the head of the Foreign Ministry, Carlos Iván Mendoza Aguirre; the head of Political Affairs, Enrique Romero Leal; the head of International Cooperation, Rodrigo Álvarez Tenorio; and the coordinator of Feminist Foreign Policy, Ximena Mariscal de Alba.

During the meeting, the representatives of Mexico and Chile highlighted the bilateral collaboration in regional and multilateral forums, and recognized the shared foreign policy visions and values, particularly in favor of multilateral organizations -placing the United Nations at the center- in order to ensure international peace and security.

They also noted the importance of strengthening the promotion and protection of human rights, particularly in the framework of the 31st World Press Freedom Day Conference; as well as the rights of women and girls, gender equality and social justice, framed in the Feminist Foreign Policy of the two countries.

Finally, in reviewing the progress in the negotiation process of the Pact for the Future, as well as the instrument on pandemics within the framework of the World Health Organization (WHO), Mexico and Chile acknowledged the joint work and convergence between both countries.

By holding these consultations, Mexico and Chile reinforce their bonds of friendship and strengthen multilateralism in the face of current challenges.
