Esmeralda Vallejo presents results in the fight against addictions in Ecatepec to the Senate / @Ecatepec >>>

#Ecatepec, #Edoméx.- Esmeralda Vallejo Martinez, president of the DIF system of Ecatepec, presented in the Senate of the Republic the actions undertaken by the municipal government for the prevention and care of addictions to safeguard children and young people of Ecatepec.

During the colloquium entitled “The importance of the internment centers against addictions in Mexico”, the head of the DIF of Ecatepec shared the results of the Addiction Prevention Program (PREDIAC), which from 2019 to March 2024 has provided care and guidance to 33 thousand 65 neighbors of the most populous municipality in the State of Mexico.

Vallejo Martínez pointed out that the DIF of Ecatepec, through the public health area, has undertaken actions and strategies against the consumption of drugs among young people and minors; in addition to carrying out coordinated operations with the Commission for the Protection against Health Risks of the State of Mexico (Coprisem) to verify the legal status of the nearly 100 rehabilitation centers against addictions that operate in the locality.

“In our agency we work every day to protect the physical and emotional integrity of those who need it most,” said Vallejo Martinez.

The head of Ecatepec’s DIF called on the senators to join efforts and fight together against drug addiction, and reiterated the commitment of the municipal government in the fight against addictions for the benefit of public health and the reconstruction of the social fabric.

“We are committed to the health of Ecatepenses families and we know that working as a team is the key to achieving great results. Let’s continue to join efforts for a harmonious and safe future for all,” he concluded.
