Benito Juarez Mayor’s Office calls on to declassify information on contaminated water / @Jaime_Mata_S @BJAlcaldia >>>
#BenitoJuárez, #CDMX.- The Mayor’s Office of Benito Juarez makes a strong call to the City Government and the Institute of Transparency, Access to Public Information, Protection of Personal Data and Accountability of the CDMX to revert the classification of the information, since it is a human right of the neighbors to know the cause of the water contamination in the district.
This, after it became known that the Mexico City Water System reserved for three years the results of the scientific tests of the contaminated water in Benito Juarez and that this could be extended up to 5 years because the investigation is in process.
This opaque government has been hiding the information about the true causes for 39 days, so all the remediation actions undertaken are disqualified, as we do not know if they were sufficiently effective and if they really solve the problem.
The only thing that the City Government has been doing during all this time is to ignore the human right of the inhabitants of Benito Juarez to know how their health was at risk.
