Government of the State of Mexico follows up on security during the Electoral Process: Horacio Duarte / @Edomex >>>

#EstadoDeMéxico.- Horacio Duarte Olivares, Secretary General of Government, informed that every day at the Coordination Table for the Construction of Peace, Governor Delfina Gómez receives a report on the status of security during the Electoral Process in the State of Mexico with the objective of guaranteeing a peaceful environment.

He explained that, since the beginning of the Electoral Process, Governor Delfina Gómez instructed to spare no effort to ensure that the candidates develop their campaigns in peace so that the citizens go out to vote in freedom.

Secretary Horacio Duarte pointed out that permanent collaboration is maintained with the State Security Secretariat, the National Defense Secretariat (Sedena), the Navy (Semar), the National Guard (GN), the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM), the Electoral Institute of the State of Mexico (IEEM) and the National Electoral Institute (INE).

After highlighting the proximity of election day on June 2, the State Secretary announced that in the next few days a meeting will be held with representatives of the political parties, as well as with the electoral bodies and security agencies to develop a plan of attention throughout the entity on June 2.

Said plan will be prepared based on the priority areas detected in the Risk Map, based on an analysis of the areas where there could be a higher level of insecurity for candidates, which was presented at the first Security Roundtable for the 2024 Electoral Process, held in March.
