#EstadoDeMéxico.- Two weeks before the end of the campaigns, the Senate candidate of the “Coalición Sigamos Haciendo Historia”, Mariela Gutiérrez, met with activists and supporters of municipalities in the northern part of the State of Mexico, who expressed several requests that she promised to fulfill as part of her first actions in the Upper House.

From the community of San Marcos Tlazalpan, in the municipality of Morelos, she received the request of this Otomi people to intercede with the governor, Delfina Gómez, in order to improve the commercialization of their handcrafted products, predominantly the elaboration of piñatas.

They recalled that since the campaign as governor they requested her support for the construction of warehouses for the storage of their products, a handicrafts market, among other things, demands in which the candidate offered to be their manager.

Accompanied by the candidate for municipal president, Edgar Plaza, and the candidate for local deputy, Angélica Pérez Cerón, she thanked the enthusiastic reception in this community that had not been visited before by a candidate for the Senate and took the opportunity to congratulate the teachers.

Gutiérrez Escalante told them that she will work not only in the Valley of Mexico, but also in the Valley of Toluca, and mentioned that programs will be implemented to be close to the inhabitants of this area and to know the needs of those who suffer from them.

She told them that this Otomí region is a concern and informed them that she has spoken with the governor and “we have discussed that we have to consolidate the transformation and bring the best benefits here”, something that Claudia Sheinbaum is also aware of.

The candidate to the Senate of the Mexican people continued her tour this Wednesday in Jilotepec and Polotitlán, and in the morning she held a meeting in Tecámac with social organizations and union leaders.
