Mexico supports Belize in electricity supply; “we belong to the party of universal fraternity”, says AMLO / @lopezobrador_ @GobiernoMX >>>

#GobiernoDeMéxico.- As a matter of universal fraternity, the Mexican Government is helping Belize with the supply of electric energy, informed President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
In a morning press conference he clarified that the agreed amount to be granted is “truly minimal”.

“(It is) an agreement we have with Belize to help them so that they do not lack electric power. We are talking about a brotherly, neighboring people, who need it,” the President said.

“We have to help. If we can, why don’t we help other human beings, if we belong to the party of universal fraternity? Before the limits existed, all this belonged to the great Mayan nation: Belize, Guatemala and Honduras, Chiapas, everything», he added.

At the same time, the Chief Executive assured that the federation is taking actions in the country in order to face the recent heat waves, which cause greater demand for electric energy.

“Yes, we are taking into account this situation of very hot weather, very, very hot weather and the forecasts are that there will be many rains and hurricanes, so we are taking care of this,” he said.
