#SECTUR.- Also accompanied by the state Secretary of Tourism, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, the head of the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur) stressed that our country is privileged to have a vast and extensive nature, where virtually every place we visit has unique scenarios, such as Tlaxcala, where, during the next two months, you can witness how the nights of the forest are illuminated by the glow of thousands of fireflies, a magical experience that allows you to connect with the environment.

He indicated that every season, this majestic spectacle attracts numerous tourists, which translates into economic benefits for local populations; and highlighted other tourist attractions such as La Malinche, Mexico’s sixth highest mountain; renowned pulque haciendas; the enigmatic Magical Towns of Huamantla, Tlaxco and Ixtenco; and the Magical Neighborhood of Apizaco; as well as the beautiful town with an Italian Tuscan flavor, Val’Quirico.

Torruco Marqués pointed out that all these destinations can be reached by road, which is why it is essential to have road protection and assistance mechanisms, a task carried out with efficiency, quality and warmth by the “Green Angels”, who since 1960 have been a reference for travelers who travel more than 35,000 kilometers of the national road network.

For this reason, the Secretary of Tourism and the state governor signed a General Coordination Agreement for the Strengthening of Roads in the State of Tlaxcala, through which the federal Ministry of Tourism delivered 6 new vehicles, while the government of Tlaxcala committed to do the same with the same number of units in the short term.
