Federal Highway Network not seriously affected by Tropical Storm Alberto: SICT / @SICT_mx >>>

#SICT.- The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) informs that the Federal Highway Network shows minor damages after the passage of tropical storm Alberto through the states of Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Nuevo Leon and Coahuila, after it made landfall early Thursday morning.

Due to the torrential rains, the SICT Centers in Nuevo Leon and Coahuila report preventive road closures in both directions from km 0+700 to km 64+000 of the Mex 58 Linares- San Roberto highway, due to minor landslides; as well as the Mex.40 Saltillo-Monterrey and Mex. 40 D highways, which have restricted circulation due to landslides.

The agency informs that due to the closures on the Saltillo-Monterrey highway, both free and toll, the SICT Coahuila Center and the National Guard are making available to citizens who urgently need to travel to the capital of Nuevo Leon, the alternate route Saltillo-Monclova-Monterrey.

To do so, you must go from Saltillo, on highway 57 towards Monclova until you reach the Entronque Castaños and take the road to Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.
