Government of the State of Mexico delivers more than 600 mobility and functional aids in 38 municipalities / @Edomex >>>

#EstadoDeMéxico.- As part of the Second Day of Delivery of Mobility and Functional Support 2024, the Secretary of Health, Macarena Montoya Olvera, informed that, through the Government of Mexico’s Public Welfare Administration, the delivery of 609 mobility and functional supports began in 38 municipalities in the State of Mexico.

On behalf of Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez, the State Secretary of Health explained that the supports will be delivered in five host municipalities: Axapusco, Temoaya, Chalco, Tenango del Valle and Toluca on July 9, 10, 11, 12 and 16, respectively.

With The Power to Serve, Dr. Macarena Montoya began the delivery of these supports in the municipality of Axapusco, benefiting more than 170 people from nine municipalities in the eastern part of the State of Mexico, where she said that these actions respond to the premise of both the federal and state governments, to serve those who need it most.

She emphasized that these devices will improve the quality of life of those who receive them, allowing them to reincorporate into the family, social, work or educational environment, and therefore she said, «they can count on the Secretary of Health as an ally to take care of their wellbeing».

The Secretary of Health indicated that thanks to the combined efforts of the governments of Mexico and the State of Mexico, the in-kind donation of 58 walkers, 66 canes with one support, 31 canes with four supports, 18 pairs of crutches, 11 adult bath chairs, 31 PCA chairs, 27 PCI chairs and 367 standard chairs, allows improving the health conditions, the quality of life in their daily lives and the well-being of girls, boys, women and men, as well as our older adults who live with a disability.

Accompanied by Miriam Coronel Meneses, Municipal President of Axapusco, she added that under the leadership of Mrs. Delfina Gómez Álvarez, every day we work to achieve universal health services for the benefit of the most vulnerable population, so we strengthen the infrastructure to provide adequate spaces and staff to provide a dignified and humane treatment, as every Mexican deserves.
