Nuño Lara supervises modernization works on the Las Vigas – Oaxaca and Guerrero state borders highway section / @SICT_mx >>>
#SICT.- The Secretary of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT), Jorge Nuño Lara, supervised the modernization works of the Las Cruces-Pinotepa Nacional MEX-200 federal highway in its Las Vigas-Limits of the states of Guerrero and Oaxaca section, which presents an overall physical progress of 93.6 percent and will be completed by the end of July.
Accompanied by the Undersecretary of Infrastructure, Jesús Felipe Verdugo López, and the General Director of the SICT-Guerrero Center, Ricardo Alarcón Abarca, the head of the SICT confirmed that this important work, with a length of 126.9 kilometers, will benefit a population of 250,000 inhabitants and will save 75 minutes in transit.
In a tour of almost 8 hours, the head of the SICT focused on the supervision of points 7, 12, 13 and 14, as well as Cruz Grande, Puente Marquelia II, Puente Nuevo Tilita, Puente Cortijo and Puente Barajillas.
A total of 6,412.9 million pesos will be invested in the modernization of the highway section, which includes 14 bridges and 17 at-grade junctions.
It will connect with the Costa Chica of Guerrero, which will benefit the inhabitants of the municipalities of San Marcos, Florencio Villareal, Cuautepec, Copala, Marquelia, Juchitán, Azoyú, Igualapa, Ometepec and Cuajinicuilapa.
The modernization work on the Las Vigas-Lím. de Edos. de Gro./Oax. section consisted of widening the crown width from 7.0 to 12.0 meters. This is a type A2 road to accommodate two 3.5-meter traffic lanes along its 126.9 kilometers.
