SICT recommends driving with caution on the road during the upcoming vacations / @jorgenunol @SICT_mx >>>

#SICT.- With summer vacations approaching, if you are going out on the road, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) offers some recommendations: follow traffic signs, do not use cell phones while driving and use seat belts.

According to the school calendar of the Ministry of Public Education (SEP), the vacation period begins on July 16 and will last until August 26 of this year.

During this period families go to different vacation centers in the country, as well as to visit their relatives.

For this reason, the SICT suggests you take into account the following preventive measures:

Do not use your cell phone while traveling on the road system.
Distractions are a safety risk factor. When driving on the road, the use of cell phones or any other electronic device can distract and cause a traffic accident. Do not put your life and the lives of others at risk.

If it is necessary to make a call, park your vehicle on the shoulders of the road (never on a curve) and turn on your flashing lights.

Respect the speed limits.
The General Law of Mobility and Road Safety establishes the following limits: automobiles, 110 kilometers per hour; buses, 95 kilometers per hour; cargo transportation, 80 kilometers per hour.
