Federal government delivers more than 1.866 billion pesos in La Clínica es Nuestra program to improve health centers / @Tu_IMSS >>>

#IMSS.- The Director General of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), Zoé Robledo, informed that up to July 15, 20,701 transactions or payments were identified in cards of the program La Clínica es Nuestra (The Clinic is Ours) with a total amount of 1,866.3 million pesos (million pesos), of which 10,639 were made at the Banco del Bienestar’s teller window for 1,786.2 million pesos and 10,662 at ATMs of said bank for 80.1 million pesos.

During the press conference at the National Palace headed by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, the IMSS CEO indicated that, to date, 11,637 cards have been delivered, representing 98.6 percent progress; this instrument is used to disperse economic resources to the 11,808 health centers with an active account.

“This has been possible thanks to the collaboration of two other public institutions, precisely the Welfare Secretariat at the time of building the assemblies and committees and, on the other hand, the Welfare Bank, which with its presence throughout the country has already made resources available.”

Zoé Robledo pointed out that the program La Clínica es Nuestra aims to improve the physical conditions, equipment and access to medicines in the Health Centers; to this end, the community, through a Health and Welfare Committee, decides on what to use the resources for.

He explained that these committees identify the needs, use the resources and supervise the improvements. In addition, with the support of the Welfare Secretariat, 11,816 Health and Welfare Committees were formed in 27 entities, 233 welfare regions, 2,021 municipalities, 8,809 localities and 514 delivery sites.
