Magical Routes of Color, more product and training to boost tourism in Nuevo León / @TorrucoTurismo @SECTUR_mx >>>
#SECTUR.- The head of the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur) indicated that this initiative consists of painting the facades of houses and artistic murals, with the collaboration of the community and the three levels of government, as well as the company Comex and the civil organization Corazón Urbano; and that it will have an impact on 10 thousand square meters in this Magical Town, and in the town of General Zaragoza.
He reiterated that this strategy has already been applied in the Magical Towns of Bustamante, Linares and Santiago, and an agreement has already been signed to start in August in the Magical Neighborhood “Barrio Antiguo de Monterrey”.
Torruco Marqués highlighted the importance of Nuevo León’s Magical Towns, with a population of 156,000 inhabitants, 2.7% of the state’s total. Likewise, they are home to 798 economic units related to tourism, which employ a little more than 3,600 people.
He pointed out that income from the supply of goods and services reaches 2,866 million pesos, which gives an average annual income per economic unit of 3,591,000 pesos.
As part of the tour, the head of Sectur toured some of the main tourist attractions of this Magical Town, such as the Sabino Gordo, a tree more than a thousand years old.
He also visited the Municipal Palace, the monument to Los Alegres de Terán, the Parish of Nuestra Señora de la Soledad and the Hacienda Soledad de la Mota.
The authorities of the three levels of government visited the Magical Town of Linares, where they supervised the remodeling of the Guidi Hotel’s business room by the owner and director of the civil association, Gerardo Guidi Kawas.
