CESPM conducts comprehensive training in network areas / @BCGobierno >>>

#EstadoDeBajaCalifornia.- In an effort to reinforce safety and well-being in the workplace, extensive training is being carried out in the network areas in the different zones of Mexicali, the valley, and San Felipe.

This initiative included the implementation of several Mexican Official Standards (NOM) that address occupational health and safety conditions in various risk situations.

The first module of the training focused on NOM-004-STPS-1999, which establishes safety conditions for the operation of machinery and equipment, including hydro-pneumatic suction trucks (sewers), pumps, and backhoes. The risks associated with these equipment were highlighted and best practices for their safe operation were provided.

The second module addressed health and safety conditions in workplaces where noise is generated, in accordance with NOM-011-STPS-2001. Participants learned about the importance of protecting their hearing and the preventive measures to be taken to minimize noise exposure.

Finally, the training included NOM-015-STPS-1994, which deals with exposure to extreme thermal conditions in the workplace. Workers were instructed on the risks of heat exposure and the precautions they should take to stay safe in high-temperature environments.

The instruction was carried out directly in the work areas to ensure the participation of as many elements as possible. The attendees showed great interest and were satisfied with the implementation of this program, which was led by engineer Juan Antonio Mejorada Cortez.

This initiative is part of CESPM’s commitment to continuous improvement and occupational safety, ensuring that all workers are well equipped to face the risks in their work environments.
