#SICT.- The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) informs that heavy rains in most of the country have caused partial interruption and even total closure of several stretches of the Federal Highway Network and Rural and Feeder Roads, particularly in the states of Chiapas, Hidalgo, Nuevo Leon, Veracruz, Quintana Roo and Campeche.
In the case of Nuevo Leon, the federal highway MEX 58 Linares-San Roberto km 0+700 to km 64+000, affected by landslides and at km 34+600 where a total cut was registered, traffic is already open, although with restrictions.
Tropical wave No. 11, accompanied by the “Mexican monsoon”, has generated several incidents in the road infrastructure in several states of the country: 35 in the Federal Highway Network and 111 in Rural and Feeder Roads, which are being attended to by SICT personnel.
Incidents in the Federal Highway Network:
Chiapas
MEX 199 Catazajá-Rancho Nuevo km 127+000 reported a settlement in the right lane of the road surface; MEX 307 Fronteriza del Sur km 020+150, sinkhole due to failure of drainage works in the right lane; MEX 190 Tuxtla Gutiérrez-Cd. Cuauhtémoc km 057+000, landslide in the right lane; and MEX 195 Villahermosa-Escopetazo km 154+200, landslides in the right lane.
Partial interruption was recorded on these roads, but they are already being attended to.
Hidalgo
