Governor Delfina Gómez heads the 99th Extraordinary Session of DIFEM’s Governing Board*/ @Edomex >>>
#EstadoDeMéxico.- Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez presided over the 99th Extraordinary Session of the Governing Board of the System for the Integral Development of the Family of the State of Mexico (DIFEM), which followed up on the actions and programs aimed at increasing the levels of wellbeing of the vulnerable groups served by the organization.
Among the topics addressed in this work meeting were the coordination with the municipalities, particularly for the operation of 23 Day Care Centers built by DIFEM in 22 municipalities in the State of Mexico, spaces in which multiple supports are provided to the elderly.
These Day Care Centers are located in Otumba, Chalco, Ixtlahuaca, Tejupilco, Tenango del Aire, Timilpan, Cuautitlán Izcalli (2), Chiconcuac, Coatepec Harinas, Jilotzingo, Ocuilan, Ozumba, Tepetlixpa, Almoloya de Alquisiras, Almoloya de Juárez, Apaxco, Chapa de Mota, Ixtapan de la Sal, La Paz, Mexicaltzingo, Tepetlaoxtoc and Tlatlaya.
The Day Care Centers offer services such as medical consultation, psychological care, legal orientation, recreational and sports activities, blankets and in-kind support (diapers, sets of pants and hearing aids).
Likewise, the Governor of the State of Mexico followed up on the community health care programs for the population served by DIFEM, specifically in relation to actions aimed at the detection and prevention of cervical cancer, an area in which support from the Instituto Materno Infantil del Estado de México (IMIEM) will be incorporated.
Mrs. Delfina Gómez exhorted the public servants that make up the Board of Directors of DIFEM to continue with the efforts and work they develop in favor of the less favored sectors, in line with the work philosophy of El Poder de Servir (The Power to Serve).
