#EstadoDeMéxico.- The Government of the Fourth Transformation recovers the values of native cultures, promotes family integration and gives priority to young people through work and study opportunities, which prevents drug consumption in the country, said President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
«It is good that we are addressing the issue here because this should lead us to continue consolidating and strengthening our cultural, moral and spiritual values (…) Peace and tranquility are the fruits of justice,» he argued.

At a press conference, he reaffirmed that the Mexican Government’s National Public Security Strategy is based on addressing the causes of violence, the zero-corruption policy and the coordinated work between agencies during the Security Cabinet meeting, held Monday through Friday from 6:00 to 7:00 a.m., in order to review the country’s situation in the last 24 hours and make decisions that guarantee peace.

«We have drawn the line, the border between crime and authority. There are no links, there are no relations of complicity with anyone, as it was before (…) No illicit practices are tolerated, but we seek to avoid violence, to address the causes that provoke insecurity and violence», he added.

The President affirmed that the long-term measures implemented by the federal government are working. For example, the program «Jóvenes Construyendo el Futuro», which provides young people between 18 and 29 years of age with training in companies and workplaces, is progressing with a historic investment of 120 billion pesos, unlike the last five six-year terms, which together allocated only 7 billion pesos to youth.
