#SanMigueldeAllende, #Hgo.- As host of the «International Taekwondo Camp», the Municipal Government continues to promote the development of San Miguel de Allende as a venue for national and international sporting events.

Following the policy of Mayor Mauricio Trejo on promoting social development through physical activity, the Municipal Sports Commission (Comude) in coordination with the Guanajuato Tae Kwon Do Association, held this international camp, reaffirming the commitment to promote local talent through high-level competitions that allow them international exposure, in addition to positioning San Miguel as the ideal place to hold high-level sporting events.

«It is something very important, since Mr. Mauricio Trejo has given us the opening to hold this type of events, thanks to him, to all the support he has given to sports, these events are achieved. It is very important, because for any athlete in any discipline, it is a chance to get a chance to practice. You’re getting exposure with Guanajuato, Queretaro, Aguascalientes and you come and get exposure with an international country,» said Jose Cruz Gonzalez, director of Comude.

For three consecutive days in the «Baby Vazquez» Module, the «Number #1 City of Mexico and the World» became the epicenter of martial sports, hosting a series of bouts between the selective teams of Guanajuato and Tahiti France, which allowed participants and spectators to live a unique sporting experience.
