#EstadoDeMéxico.- The Secretary of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation of the State of Mexico, Miguel Ángel Hernández Espejel, led the ceremony for the delivery of 500 exchanges to basic education teachers for the 2024-2025 school year, in compliance with the line of action promoted by Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez, to revalue the work of teachers as the central axis of the educational process in the state.

In the Auditorium of Escuela Normal No. 1 of Toluca, Secretary Hernández Espejel emphasized the importance of providing favorable conditions for teacher performance, highlighting that proximity to the workplace is fundamental.

«A teacher’s performance depends on favorable conditions to develop their work, and one of them is the distance and the conditions in which they travel,» he stressed.

He highlighted that the benefited teachers will be able to more effectively apply the principles of the New Mexican School by being in their regions of origin. «If we work together, authorities and teachers, we will achieve an excellent job. I congratulate the colleagues and I wish there were more of them, so that those teachers who are displaced and in distant places are close to their homes, eliminating the worry of how to take care of their families,» he added.

This process of permutations, which will be maintained on a permanent basis, seeks to optimize the working conditions of teachers, bringing them closer to their homes and reducing the time and distance of travel to their work centers.

Ricardo López Avendaño, Undersecretary of Administration and Finance of the SECTI, emphasized that this initiative not only improves the working conditions of the teachers benefited, but also contributes to a more efficient and accessible educational environment.
