#EstadoDeMéxico.- The Government of the State of Mexico, headed by Mrs. Delfina Gómez Álvarez, through the Welfare Secretariat, promotes a work designed to address the concerns and needs of vulnerable groups, in order to ensure their development in their environments.
Part of this work is carried out by the Junta de Asistencia Privada del Estado de México (JAPEM), which coordinates altruistic institutions, such as Becando Tus Sueños, IAP, which offers a space for training and inclusive education to promote the welfare of low-income people.
“We firmly believe in inclusion and equal opportunities, so we do not make distinctions based on political, religious, sexual or ethnic aspects. All minority and vulnerable groups find a home in our association, and we are proud to be a space where each individual can overcome challenges and achieve their goals,” said Yazmín Contreras González, representative of Becando tus Sueños.
This organization offers four-month courses on gastronomy, confectionery and bakery, and are designed to meet the aspirations of the beneficiaries, enabling them to strengthen their entrepreneurial prospects.
It also trains them in marketing and financial literacy to complement their technical learning, ensuring that they have the necessary tools to manage and grow their own businesses in a sustainable manner, which translates into a significant improvement in their quality of life and that of their families.
“We accept and welcome people with various health conditions, including mental disorders such as stress, anxiety and depression because our workshops also serve as a form of occupational therapy,” he said.
