#Chimalhuacán, #Edoméx.- The city council of Chimalhuacán 2022-2024, headed by the municipal president, Xóchitl Flores Jiménez, won first place in the Latin American Security Association (ALAS) award, in the category of Public Project, for the construction and start-up of the Control, Command, Communication and Computing Center (C4), whose objective is to provide more security to the population with the support of high-level technology.
From Bogotá, Colombia, the president of the municipality of Chimalhuacán, one of the more than 2,400 municipalities in Mexico, thanked the president of the Mexican Republic, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, and the governor of the State of Mexico, Delfina Gómez Álvarez, for their support and backing in the construction of the C4 and the Center for Prevention and Social Attention to Violence and Crime.
In an exclusive interview with ALAS, the municipal president of Chimalhuacán, Xóchitl Flores, expressed her joy for the recognition of her work and the trust of the inhabitants of the municipality she represents, because since the beginning of her administration she understood that security was one of the main needs in the territory.
When we came to government we witnessed the prevailing insecurity, so we decided to invest in a project to address this need, because we only had 100 poles with 100 cameras that were insufficient. Today, with an investment of more than 185 million pesos, we have 237 poles with 1,185 video surveillance cameras, said the municipal president.
