#Economy.- On instructions from the Governor of the State of Mexico, Mrs. Delfina Gómez Álvarez, the heads of the Secretariats of Security of the State of Mexico (SSEM), Cristóbal Castañeda Camarillo, and of Economic Development (SEDECO), Laura González Hernández, held a working meeting with representatives of the Mexican Council of the Consumer Products Industry, A. C. (ConMéxico), in order to strengthen communication channels and generate synergy in the prevention and fight against crimes that affect both the industry and the population in general.

During the meeting held in the facilities of the State Command Center, the head of the SSEM pointed out that the agency under his charge works in coordination with the three levels of government, in order to address the concerns of businessmen on a daily basis; he also explained that the exchange of experiences is something that is concretized in obtaining good results.

As in previous meetings, he explained that there is already an initiative for the video surveillance cameras that make up the Circuito Exterior Mexiquense (CEM) to be directly connected to the Control, Command, Communication, Computing and Quality Center (C5), in addition to establishing State Police stations at strategic points that will serve to attend events and emergencies in a timely manner. He added that talks are being held to carry out these same actions with representatives of the Arco Norte.

In addition, he indicated that they intend to migrate to a new model designed with geo-reference, which includes the creation of heat maps that will help to identify susceptible points for the commission of crimes, in addition to taking into account the good use of material and human resources to address the incidence of crime.

Cristóbal Castañeda proposed the creation of a working table to identify priority objectives according to the existing regional problems and that they can be followed up in a timely and correct manner. In his speech, he emphasized that one of the Governor’s priorities is to attack the theft of cargo transportation and that is why it is important to create safe corridors.
