Government of EdoMéx and mayors agree on urban planning around the “El Insurgente” Train / @Edomex >>>

#EstadoDeMéxico.- In the framework of the First Ordinary Session of the State System for Land Use Planning, Urban and Metropolitan Development, the Government of the State of Mexico and the municipal presidents of the zone of influence of the Mexico-Toluca Train “El Insurgente” signed an agreement to guarantee urban growth with a social and strategic sense that benefits the families of the region.

On behalf of Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez, Horacio Duarte Olivares, Secretary General of Government signed this document as a witness of honor; as well as, Carlos Maza Lara, Secretary of Urban Development and Infrastructure and the municipal presidents of Lerma, Metepec, Ocoyoacac, San Mateo Atenco, Toluca and Zinacantepec.

This agreement reflects the state administration’s commitment to transforming the urban environment of the state, while at the same time providing citizens with opportunities to move around in a safe and dignified manner that improves their quality of life.

“A clear example of this coordination is the Partial Urban Development Plan of the Mexico-Toluca Train “El Insurgente”, which seeks to transform the urban environment of the areas where this important mobility project crosses; this train will allow thousands of Mexicans to travel in a safe and dignified manner, thus improving their quality of life and encouraging the economic development of our state,” said the Secretary General of the Government of the State of Mexico.

Horacio Duarte Olivares highlighted the importance of developing a partial plan around the “Felipe Ángeles” International Airport, “so that this great airport has certainty in its territorial, urban and control planning, and in its economic development potential. Today we have a historic opportunity to ensure that a major project of the Mexican Government does not get out of hand in terms of control and urban planning,” he said.
