#Atizapán, #Edoméx.- The Municipal President of Atizapán de Zaragoza, Pedro Rodríguez Villegas, visited during Wednesday night and early Thursday morning the residents of Colonia Alfredo V. Bonfil who were affected by the extraordinary rain that was recorded in the municipality.

It was on General Avalos Street, almost at the corner of Moritas River, where Rodríguez Villegas toured the homes, to express his commitment and solidarity with the families.

In social networks, the Mayor reiterated the coordinated work that is being done for the benefit of the atizapenses and called on citizens to avoid littering so as not to congest the hydraulic infrastructure, which can cause flooding.

“I am touring the neighborhoods of our municipality that were affected by the heavy rains tonight, working in coordination with the different areas of government to attend to the people of Atizapá, reaffirming our commitment and solidarity for the families.

“Let’s remember that in order to prevent flooding, it is necessary not to throw garbage in the streets of our municipality,” he mentioned.

According to Civil Protection and Firefighters, there were 12 affected areas in the municipality and, preliminarily, 40 homes were flooded up to 40 centimeters high.
