Amexcid and the National Rehabilitation Institute join forces to promote medical innovation / @SRE_mx >>>

#SRE.- The Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (Amexcid) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) and the National Rehabilitation Institute “Luis Guillermo Ibarra Ibarra” (INRLGII) of the Ministry of Health held the first joint working group to analyze opportunities for collaboration to attract international talent and promote medical innovation in the field of rehabilitation.

At the meeting they agreed to expand the attraction of international talent from Latin America, Europe, Asia and North America, as well as to facilitate international stays for INRLGII professionals, through agreements and Amexcid’s network of contacts to promote the exchange of women and men doctors and researchers.

They also discussed the development of joint research and innovation projects to capitalize on INRLGII’s strengths in areas such as rehabilitation, technology development, assistance, orthotics and prosthetics.

They also agreed to create specific calls for proposals for the health sector. In this regard, Amexcid will design scholarship programs tailored to the needs of the National Institutes of Health, including medical specialties, research stays and exchange programs.

The general director of INRLGII, Carlos Pineda Villaseñor, stated that “for the National Rehabilitation Institute it is an honor to collaborate with Amexcid in this important project. Our commitment to the training of professionals of excellence also extends to the international level, contributing to the preparation of leaders in the field of rehabilitation at the service of Mexico”.
