Mayor Pedro Rodríguez begins cleanup campaign in Atizapán de Zaragoza / @Pedro_RVillegas @GobAtizapan >>>

#Atizapán, #Edoméx.- In a joint effort with the Government of the State of Mexico, the Mayor of Atizapán de Zaragoza, Pedro Rodríguez Villegas, led the first day of the Limpiemos Nuestro Estado de México (Let’s Clean Up Our State of Mexico) program, which began simultaneously in the 125 municipalities that make up the State of Mexico, with the purpose of improving public and natural spaces in order to have a cleaner and healthier environment.

The Mayor, accompanied by Trinidad Franco Arpero, Oficial Mayor of the Government of Mexico, neighbors of Roussel Street, Colonia Lomas de Tepalcapa, as well as workers of the government of Atizapá, formed a brigade of 200 people who transformed the place known as Barranca del Puente Colgante.

“A very warm greeting to the Governor, Mrs. Delfina, and I reiterate my support for joining efforts with the State Government and together transforming our State of Mexico. We will always be willing to cooperate and join efforts to provide better living conditions for our residents,” said Rodriguez Villegas.

He remarked that the recent rains have confirmed that garbage is the main enemy of floods and that, therefore, it is of utmost importance to keep all public spaces free of solid waste to avoid contingencies.

For her part, Trinidad Franco, Senior Official of the Government of the State of Mexico, thanked on behalf of the Governor of the State of Mexico, Delfina Gómez Álvarez, for the cooperative attitude with which the municipality of Atizapán de Zaragoza received them.

“Governor Delfina Gómez has undertaken a very important crusade for the good of all 125 municipalities, we Mexicans are responsible men and women, collaborators, who love nature and want living conditions to change. A clean community gives us wellbeing, mental health, harmony and great coexistence projects. Cleanliness is health, balance and harmony and that is what we want for our State of Mexico”, expressed Franco Arpero.
